Primošten

Primošten

Primošten is a beautiful town situated on a peninsula facing the west towards Žirje, Kakan, and Kaprije islands.

If you choose to sail the Mid-Dalmatian Islands you can start at Žirje or Kakan Islands and work your way north to Kornati and climb Smokvica Vela or Levrnaka for a magnificent view over Kornati National Park Islands and check out the cliffs and Mir Lake at Telašćica National Park. You can then sail through Proversa to Iž Island and along Pašman, Vrgada and Murter Islands back towards Kaprije or Kakan. You must stop at Zlarin Island and discover the beautiful towns Tribunj, Šibenik and Skradin or party at Vodice.

You can start your southern route at neighboring Marina Rogoznica or in one of nearby bays if you seek solitude. The right anchorages are U. Kanica, U. Sičnica and U. Stari Trogir.

We recommend sailing 14 leagues to Drvenik Veli Island with ts nice port with moorings and good restaurants. On east side there is a nice place to drop anchor and take a swim between small islands Krknjaši. Watch out for strong current there when swimming. Maslinica at Šolta Island is only a mile or two further from Krknjaši and is also a very nice place to visit with its hotel that used to be a monastery. You can moor there or drop anchor at U.Šešula just south of Maslinica.

From there you can continue along northern coast of Šolta and visit Grohote, Nečujam and Stomorska and drop anchor at Bobovišće on Brač Island or moor in Milna, also on Brač. There is a gas station in Milna and shops where you can get your supplies.

If you continue along northen Coast of Brač Island were commend visiting Pučišća and Postira. There are countless small coves along northern coast of Brač you can stop at and if you are and that parts you must visit Omiš, Makarska and Baška Voda on mainland.

Sailing along southern Coast of Brač, Zlatni Rat is a must see, though it is very crowded in season. Northern Coast of Hvar is more diverse in this area. We recommend sailing to ACI Marina Vrbovska and Jelsa and to Stari Grad after that and then continue to Pakleni otoci, where you can moor at ACI Marina Palmižana or visit Hvar and Milna where there is a good restaurant.

There are also Islands Vis, Biševo and Lastovo at your reachand you can even sail to Korčula and Mlijet and a week’s sailing. Just plan your trip carefully.
